Not sure it just does. It grows better in the dirt tank then in my others but it still grows in them too.

While DFK was down I was looking thru some of my old stuff and made this video!!

It about one of the test I did before setting up the dirt tank. I think testing is important before moving in your home. It was my first sump tank setup

    55 gal tank
20 gal sump with a 5 gal diy sump on the side for the pump. It wouldn't fit under the the store bought stand so I modified it to fit
485 gph pump with about 3 foot of head

I traded some work for it. All I can find out about it was that it was made in Denver Co. by GLC wholesalers Reef Keeper series back in the 90's. It is defiantly different with everything in the back to the front.

That looks great, may I ask you where you got the pipes that you are using to hold your lights? How are they attached over your tank?

They are made from EMT 3/4" conduit and the holder for the pipe are clamped on pieces of 1" PVC sch 80 pipe they fit right in and conduit hangers are removable. The holders is clamped to the stand. Bent to shape with conduit benders. I found some plastic caps that fit in the ends. I took pieces of chain and made the hooks. They are fastened with self tapping sheet metal screws. I decided not to paint them but could be if you wiped them down with vinegar this would let the paint stick to the galvanized metal. Also I used vinyl tubing pieces bigger than the conduit and cut in half at the tank rim to act as bumpers so the pipes won't touch the tank.

Holes drilled to size of led holder. just one side

for a 50 light xmas light had to drill 150 holes. inserted lights and wire tied in place. Hard to keep straight and in line. but worked good when done. Camo the wires with plastic vines

I can't use them now because of my mounts and the HOB's
