ive got to go refill my co2 tank tommorow itll cost me 25 USD but my initial investment is almost 300 USD co2 is worth it but expensive and it will instantly turn your tank into a high tech tank if my tank goes too long(2 days) without co2 it gets covered in algea

    Looks good. Really nice.
The plant in the middle you didn't know the name, Looks like anacharis to me.
The other one you thought was Hornwart, is not. Don't know the name. Hornwart is a "pine needle" like plant that does best as a floater.

No, but you can grow some awesome plants if you have it. PS the plants do require some sort of co2

CO2 is only needed if you have high light concentration, you like to trim every week and fertilize often.

this is star grass (sorry for the crummy pic)

Inkbull, if you are looking for some, I'm sure I could send you some clippings and/or some stems. Its a pretty easy starter. It really took off after I added some root tabs and started dosing VERY little liquid ferts.

Thank you for your comment!!! I wouldn't say Algae free it has it moments. yes I have used excel but it doesn't seem to make a big difference so I have kinda quite (undecided about excel I think the sump dissipates or something like that the co2) R.I.P. HC melted to nothing and never returned lol I really love the dirt a little challenging at first.

the excell shoudnt dissapate as its not gass but it does have a life of 24hrs once in water thats why you have to dose every day.
i have heard hc cuba is very hard to grow and requires high light and co2 levels. try giving chain swords ago

Sucks about your HC. I've never kept it, but from what I've read, its best in a high tech tank due to its high light and CO2 requirements.

How do you get your java moss to grow so well? I fail at growing moss of any kind. I've bought a few clumps and they always melt away.
