This would look sick in a tattoo shop! First find the Mayan Calendar Stone on ebay. Mine is 13 inches in diameter. You can also find them smaller but i wouldnt go bigger than 13 inches as thats the biggest i could have gotten without overdoing it since my tank height is 19 inches tall. Next get your self some polystyrene foam from home depot or lowes. Cut it the length of the back wall of your aquarium. Center the Calendar on the foam and cut a hole in it the size of the Calendar. When you cut it, the circle piece that comes out cut that the same size of the deepness of the calendar or approximately about half and inch and silicone it to the calendar. This way when you now silicone this whole circle back into the foam background it will still be flush along the wall or perhaps about and inch sticking out of the background. Now just cut a lot of different sized bricks and go around the calendar in a circle. Then start working your way out from the inside to the outer edge of the calendar until all the different sized bricks fill in the whole background. When this is done do not paint it with concrete mix as this imo is too messy. Use drylock latex basement paint and mix it with quikkrete cement coloring. Give it 3 good coats until you get it the way you want it. Lastly go over it with a lighter shade on a somewhat dry brush and go over it lightly to create some shading. Ill post a video in a while for you on how to build the pyramid. I had gotten this idea from someone on youtube that created something very similar to this but did it for a terrarium. He instead did use concrete mix dor his project. The drylock looks and feels like cement without all the mess. But make sure you cure it (let it dry) for at least 2 weeks before you put it in your tank. Once you have made the background make sure you silicone a couple of small foam blocks to leave enough space to hide your filters behind the background. I also added a whole to the right of the calendar so i can fit one of my filters through there as well. If you get stuck with anything while your doing it just let me know and ill walk you through it. Good luck!
Ps make sure you use a silicone safe for aquarium use!

Heres some examples of this setup i have found on youtube.

These five vids are the best ones I've found!

This is different theme but never the less just insane!

man, i would love a 1 inch 3d Mayan calender back insert, so epic lol, I am rockin a plain black background now, tasteful, and I got a great mid ground object (huge synthetic amazon theme tree root) but this stuff, some of it is just too legit lol

OMG, I just realized what I must do....
