    is this ok to do

one of my neighbours has a pond, she had a few koi in it untill some low life idiots deciced to pour something into the pond that killed the koi..

she had a bag of mini koi food, like a red and brown pellet type. she gave me the food as she knows i keep fish.
anyway i crushed some pellets up to small granules and dropped some into one of my tanks that has guppies, neons and white cloud minows.

they ate it no problem. so im wondering. is it ok to offer them it every so often as an alternative to flake?
i also feed them artemia, blood worms, daphnia, mosquito lava etc
odd times i chop up sea food sticks small enough for them too

    any info appreciated

It's perfectly find to offer other fish crushed up Koi pellets, the only real difference is that it might be less overall protein vs a tropical flake, but as long as it's not the main diet for years on end it won't hurt a thing to rotate it into their diet, heck in the grand picture for most fish even if it was the main diet it would be fine...
