Good idea. Carpet plants too? Usually lobsters crawling out of pots haha. Now there's a thought, a lobster tank!?

UPDATE: I could not wait to get the pebbles cleaned up and sterilised! Thy weren't particularly dirty to start with and I dare say not far from germ free.

So I used baby bottle sterilising tablets in cold water and soaked them for half an hour, I then rinsed with hot water 80c to be exact, and them soaked them in a triple dose of water conditioner for half an hour.

I then continued to individually rinse them again thoroughly and properly making sure they was absolutely no chance of any sterilising fluid being left on them.

I left them to dry, and got to work. I must have spent 1 and a half hours placing these rocks/pebbles where I wanted them and here's the end result.

All that's left now is to cycle, plant and finally... Stock.
They really light up when I point my ceiling fan's multicoloured lights towards them. I think a multicoloured light is on the shopping list! Click here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlarge

Edit: It's still a little cloudy but my new little internal filter is working like a trooper, so it shouldn't be long before it's crystal again.
Added new photo, water has cleared. Looks beautiful. Click here to enlarge

Update: I've just put a moss ball in the tank. And a new thermometer. I did a 60% water change added some beneficial bacteria and a little ammonia remover.

Its still cloudy at the moment so I'll get a nice photo after its clear.

Update: I have finally got a fish for my aquarium!

He's a red halfmoon betta, with orange tips on his fins, and a hint of violet here and there.
He's only been in the tank half an hour and he's already settled in and eating!Click here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlarge

Now then, we have in our midst a complete smeg pot. The larger sucking loach would not leave the lionhead alone in the cold water tank, so he's been transferred to the fighters tank for now. It is only temporary. I have a feeling we'll be taking him back to the shop.Click here to enlarge

He's making a right mess! There's fish poop everywhere! He swims stupidly quick. Chucks sand all over. Did a water change yesterday about 75% got alot of the uneaten food out. And it's a mess again already. Frustrating to say the least!

Sorry to hear that. I am not a fan of chinese algae eaters. Too aggressive.

Thank you. No neither am I now. I will be taking it back to the shop when I go to get another fighter. Not going to be until around the 8th of March. Such a senseless waste. Click here to enlarge

Update: the problem sucking loach has been taken to an aquatics shop, and I have a new fighter. No problem fish going in here again! I'm very pleased with this fighter, difficult to get a good photo at the moment, as the water is still clearing after a quick clean and planting of what had come up during the catching of the loach.

Feel much better now. Click here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlargeClick here to enlarge
