    how do I sterilize my new plants to kill snails and pests?

    do you guys just dump new plants in your tank or what do you do?

    There are several ways to do it, some plants are more tolerant of this or that method then others, so there is no one size fits all method...

    I quarantine all my plants before they go in the actual tanks for at least 30 days to be sure they don't have snails...

    That said my quarantine tank is now infested with snails, so I have to set up a second one, my plan is to use the Alum dip method in that 2nd quarantine tank as it seems to be one of the safer methods to cleanse the plants...
