Flex Seal as seen on TV

If this has been covered then I apologize.

I saw the ad on TV recently for Flex Seal and I actually saw it in my local CVS store.

So I started wondering if anyone knew whether or not it was safe in the aquarium universe?

Looks like it would be handy for water bottle joints at the very least.

    Thoughts anyone?

I had brought this up a while back, it appears at the time there was some conflicting information on their own website and from people that called about it's level of toxicity and use in aquariums... I'm guessing at the end of the day it's probably OK and the conflicting info is just them covering their liability butts, but it's not real cost effective vs other proven options...

Oh I agree about the cost. But in the store near me, it was a clearance item so the price was calling my wallet.

Here is a link to the thread I started last year, showing the conflicting claims... On the website and commercial it claims it safe, but for the people that actually called them they were told the exact opposite...

Interesting.. I may get a bottle just to play with. We'll see.

I was contemplating using that on a hood for a 150. Water proof, to keep the wood from getting wet/rotting, and white to reflect more light.
