    DIY Flow Indicator?

I'd love something like this for my pump, but it seems to only come in 3/4" and all of my plumbing is 1". Any ideas on how to DIY this?

Not a DIY flow indicator perse but this is how i would do it.
The ball valve is to restrict water flow just enough to get the worley gig going.

I can think of several DIY designs if you want to fabricate a device out of acrylic and design an impeller in CAD and have it 3D printed or get crafty and fabricate an impeller out of something else...

I can see something like this not being all that hard to 'replicate' out of say 1/4" acrylic (should be thick enough to tap and screw in nipples) for example...

Something like this, this represents the 'walls' you would then cap this top and bottom with a sheet of acrylic sealing it all up...

is this too look cool or be totally functional?

if functional you can add a piece of clear pvc in the line with a piece of synthetic yarn glued to the inside.
