    Rio Grande Cichlid

I give you the Rio Grande Cichlid or Texas Cichlid

I had seen this fish before but I never actually thought it was a Cichlid till recently. It's very common here in South Texas, you can pretty much find it in any kind of water enviroment from rivers, canals, irrigation canals, creeks and even small lake-like bodies of water.

I just wanted to share it with all those Cichlid lovers here. Might go to a local irrigation canals and get some when I get a larger tank. Click here to enlarge

I'm pretty sure those are part of the mix to create flowerhorns.

They are very common here and are 2 types, green and blue. I've read that they are very aggressive and territorial.

I'm still looking into getting a big tank for at least one
