that's a great looking tanks and fish too, Congrates on the fries! I think mu Convicts are breading, but I gave them to many hiding places for the eggs so I am not sure, are all cichlids egs white to start with or are they different colors, cause I think I spot some in my tank just not sure?

Thx cassie. Im right down the road from you in Franklin Ky
As you said in the topic name.
Its cool and awesome. Nice colors of that fish too. Your aquascaping is awesome and your fishes are all pretty.
Btw, don't the other fishes eat the fry?
No when they are at the swarm stage the parents are very protective. this is the best time to move them.
Sorry to hear about the losses, but the tank does look amazing.

Thanks for the info fuzzy
Have to say ,the most beautiful pics I have seen!
Man you have a good tank and beautiful fishes.. couple of yrs back my convict cichlid also breed but I was not able 2 save any 1 of babies and after a week the male convict killed female covict is dis normal?
Did you have only 2 fish in the tank? AFAIK you need to have more cichlids in the tank than the breeding pair because the male gets very aggressive and will attack the female if there's no other fish to fight.
yeah only 2 of them anyway thnx for ur input appreciate it!
that would be a big no no, you need several females usually 2 or three for every male and you should have at least 2 or three males, I keep 10 convicts in my 56 gallon, 5 pairs of male and females, everyone has their own space in the tank to call their own, and I have no fighting what so ever from any of them. Even with my 2 Oscars I have 1 male and one female, but because the tank is stocked heavy no aggression happens even towards my 7" pleco who is in there as well.

Отличный сайт хороший контент большое спс администраторам.
My buddy Jason has a couple of pairs alone in tanks. He does use Silver dollars for dithers but His umbee pair for example are the only fish in their tank, and those dont even have dithers I believe and they get along just fine. I think it really depends on the fish when it comes to Cichlids. His Midas on the other hand, those two are separated quite often LOL!
Also just curios , you call these Green terrors but I am curios which locality they are. I am looking into ordering about 12 or 13 more Carpintis Vontehillo myself. I have one male already (5 inches) that will be going into my big tank when done but I am looking into trying to get a good quality breeding pair for another tank also. Just had me wondering which ones yours were.
180 Gallon, 110 Gallon Long, 75 gallon, 55 gallon, 55 gallon, and 40 gallon breeder.
His are not green terrors, they are texas cichlids
Nice fish! Saw them at the LFS but didnt seem interesting to me, but this color change is amazing![]()
